Custom-made Shelving Unit with MDF Lacquer Carrier and Warm Oak

Leon has designed a sleek custom-made shelving unit made of MDF Lacquer Carrier, which we have gladly cut to size for him. Ideal, because with the lacquer carrier foil, he can paint it in the desired color in one go. Since the doors are equipped with a push-to-open system, they do not need handles. The result is a sleek cabinet that fits in any interior!

The End Result

The end result may not be what you expected! Leon has painted the cabinet white, but the supports look like solid wood! This is what Leon has to say about it:

The wooden planks in the cabinet are not real. This was done with a good quality foil.

Thank you for the compliments, Leon. Finishing the supports with a foil was a good idea! This way, you have supports with all the advantages of MDF and with the natural appearance of solid wood. Advice for a Large Span

Since the supports in Leon's cabinet have a span of 230.0 cm, the supports may sag over time. Even with minimal load, 230.0 is too large to bridge. To prevent this, you can also add extra supports in the cabinet, such as carola's design.
