Children's furniture with Ikea Trofast

Description of Marlies

2 Ikea Trofast cabinets were used as the basis for this project. A worktop has been mounted on top of this, creating a nice desk for children in the middle. Children can sit at the desk and there is plenty of storage space available. Our son now enjoys playing there every day, and we are very happy that it looks neat and that we can store everything we want. If only we had done this sooner!

How I made this project

Below we have described the steps, so that you can read which steps were taken.

Step 1: the two Ikea trofast cabinets are assembled according to the manual.
Step 2: the worktop is placed on the furniture. It protrudes slightly at the back so that the top comes flush against the wall and therefore falls over the skirting board.
Step 3: the worktop is secured from the bottom using 8 screws. This also looks great!
