We had two wooden blades cut to size at TOSIZE.co.uk. These two sheets fit exactly across the full width of the room. With this we have created a desktop.

Work description: how did you realize your project

We stained these blades with clear stain. The tops are on three IKEA cabinets. Due to the weight of the wooden tops and the fact that they fit exactly between the wall of the room and the window frame, it was not necessary to attach them to the wall or to the cupboards. The result is two spacious workplaces where you don't get in each other's way or feel each other move. It feels solid and comfortable.
