Thom's Tabletop

Thom has made a new tabletop for his son's desk using Poplar Interior Plywood. He already had the legs and drawers, and with the custom-cut plywood, he created an entirely new desk. He achieved this by having two pieces of plywood cut to size, a wide board for the desktop and a thin plank for the back edge. Since Thom already had the other parts, this was all he needed. Poplar Interior Plywood

Poplar Interior Plywood is a light variant of plywood, both in color and weight. This material is made by gluing multiple thin layers of wood (wood veneer) crosswise to form a board. This makes the material very strong, stronger than solid wood, and it is significantly less prone to warping. The poplar wood used in this variant of plywood gives the board a calm and warm appearance. The wood has almost no knots, and the flames contrast softly against the rest of the material.
