DIY Step-by-step plan from Anne

  1. Prepare the leaf well. Anne chose to sand and round off the leaf completely.
  2. If applicable: draw out where notches should be. Anne had to make some notches with the jigsaw because some pipes were in the way.
  3. Making the supporting structure. As it is a fairly heavy top, Anne chose to make a solid support structure. Using a impact drill, she mounted 2 beams across at right angles to the wall. To these she could then mount the long beams. Easy and practical!
  4. Mounting the blade also went smoothly. We do recommend lifting the blade onto the structure with two people. Unless you have to be really strong.
  5. And tadaa. the decorating can begin!
