Work description: how did you realize your project

My husband is an overhaul mechanic of combustion engines by profession and he also likes to work with metal for the hobby. We both like furniture with a cool look, so it's a good thing he likes to make things out of metal. In this case, he welded a floating bookcase. He is also a collector of (old) books about technology. They just had to get a nice place. The two vertical carriers of the floating bookcase are provided with slanting downwards slots, where the carriers of the shelves can be hooked in. There are 15 slots, so that the 4 shelves can be adjusted. The shelves themselves are an open rectangle of metal, with three-corner supports on the sides. Square tubes were used for this, measuring 2.0 × 2.0 cm. My husband has less feeling and patience for woodworking, so TOSIZE.co.uk offered the perfect solution. The planks were delivered neatly within the desired delivery time and were carefully packed. The packaging was such that the boards could not be damaged during transport. The beautiful planks have the expected appearance in terms of appearance and color and the dimensions are exactly right. We chose oak planks because it fits nicely with our dining table. The wood gives a warm look to the white background and the gray metal. The oak itself looks nice and cool, not yellowish. To prevent damage to the books by the edges, a slat had to be placed behind the books, against the wall. A little less pretty, but better for the books. Here we have chosen white, so that it is not so noticeable.
