Very easy

1 minuut

In this DIY project, Christa demonstrates how she used cut Okoume plywood as cladding for her facade. By properly priming and painting the panels, the cladding around her window frames can last for years. To quickly start your project, ordering cut sheet material online is a good idea.

Description by Christa

The current wooden panels around the exterior window frames were deteriorating. These panels were replaced, restoring the appearance of the frames.

How I made this project

The custom-cut panels were first sanded thoroughly with different types of sandpaper to achieve a smooth finish. Then, multiple layers of primer were applied to the panels. After allowing it to dry completely, several coats of paint were applied. Finally, the panels were mounted on the window frames. It was actually a very simple task, but with the beautiful wood, which becomes incredibly smooth, the result is stunning. We are very happy with it.

Dimensions of my DIY project

122.0 x 39.0 (the largest panel)
