Very easy

1 minute

In this DIY project, Christa shows how she used sawn plywood okoume as siding. By properly priming and painting the panels, the plating on its frames can last for years. To be able to start your project quickly, ordering sawn sheet material online is a good idea.

Description by Christa

The current wooden sheets in the window frames outside were no longer good. These panels have been replaced, making the frames look neat again.

How I made this project

The panels sawn to size were first well sanded with different types of sandpaper to make the plates completely smooth. Several layers of primer were then applied to the plates. After this had dried thoroughly, several layers of lacquer were applied to the plates. Finally, attach them to the window frames. Actually a very simple job. But with the beautiful wood, which becomes mirror smooth, the result is beautiful again. We are very happy with it.

Dimensions of my DIY project

122.0 x 39.0 (the largest plate)
