What have you made?
I made a perfect round table with the help of a round plate, supplied by TOSIZE.com. Making a perfect round table is difficult! I used the perfect round shape in sheet material as a "template" for the final table. In addition to the desired shape, the plate also provides strength, together the top is now more than 38 mm thick. I edged the final sheet with a steel strip. The top is supported by a steel leg that I welded myself.
How did you proceed?
On my work table I pushed 26 floor parts together, I painted the right side with different colors, several layers on top of each other. Once dry I turned the floorboards over and smeared them with wood glue. Then I glued the round plate onto it. I initially did this with a lot of glue clamps and then I screwed a screw every 150mm. Once the glue has dried, remove the glue clamps. To then follow the perfect round line with a jigsaw, I place the base of the jigsaw right next to the edge of the round plate. Once sawn everything neatly sanded. Both the edge and the floor parts, giving you a magic ball effect. I made a ring with steel around the round table, as the two types of wood (floor parts and sheet material) had a somewhat cheap appearance. I placed the final top on a self-welded steel leg. The main reason I used TOSIZE.com sheet material is for reinforcement and the perfect shape.
What are the measurements?
The table top has a diameter of 2350 mm. Height of 750mm
