In this DIY project, Koen shows how he tackled two really fun projects. After he figured out his project, he ordered custom-sawn pine lumber panels online. This allowed him to start his job immediately. Read more about his experience below.

Description by Koen

We made 2 items, a desktop for a sit-stand desk and a children's table that can be used both low and high.

How I made this project

Desk:
1) measurements taken and corners taken off due to opening cabinets next to it and bumping into them when passing through to adjacent laundry room
2) desk edges rounded off and stained
3) installed on base and voila

Children's table:
1) determined dimensions based on doll's house that will be placed on it
2) put reinforced triangles in the corners
3) Made round holes of various sizes in the sides for a playful effect + to put things through for the kids
4) Sanded off all edges + holes to prevent the kids from hurting themselves
5) Screwed together and then stained

Dimensions of my DIY project

Desk: 180.0 cm wide and 80.0 cm deep
Table: 80.0 cm wide and 30.0 cm high and deep
