Chimney for an electric heater cut to size according to the installation dimensions of the chimney by TOSIZE.ie. Beautifully finished. Bought a beautiful British Fire electric fireplace for our new house but there was no mantelpiece. A kind of tube where pipes run through the middle of the room. The idea arose to make a mantelpiece over the chimney where the electric fireplace would fit. The width would be a challenge not to get too wide into the room. Fortunately, the fireplace was not deep and everything turned out fine.

How I made this project

Ordered all the planks to size according to the dimensions of the working drawing. This is completely self-determined, except for the chimney installation size. The challenge was that the dimensions would be such that everything would fit around the existing pipe duct, would not be too wide and should look like a chimney. The model also did not have to be too sleek in our rural interior. Ultimately, a beautiful line in the mantelpiece and finished with an old oak beam that I still had and had cut to size by my neighbor at work. I'm proud of it, my first project.
