With the help of two IKEA cabinets and a plywood sheet, we created a beautiful desk/play area for our daughter. We chose a 18mm birch plywood sheet for its strength, quality, and appearance.

How I Completed This Project

We used a 18mm birch plywood sheet and had it custom-cut (200.0 x 45.0 cm). The service was excellent, and I could even adjust the size. We picked up the sheet ourselves. At home, we sanded the sheet and applied matte clear lacquer to both sides. The color remained perfect, but the sheet is now smooth and easy to clean. After that, we attached the shelf to the cabinets. We opted for double-sided tape. This was easy and sufficiently strong. The sheet is quite heavy, so it stays in place well. We preferred not to screw into the cabinets or the sheet ourselves.
