Create this project yourself with sheet material cut to size by!

The project that I had been working on for evenings at the time of ordering was a cupboard for the open kitchen. I call it 'Pantry 1.0' It would become an imposing pantry in all its glory, which also houses plates, cutlery and kitchen utensils. All in all, a cupboard that must be able to support quite a bit of weight.

How did you proceed?

It can always be exciting to put together a wood project in the little spare time that we have besides work and other commitments. This is also one of the reasons that meanwhile was looking for the best place to purchase wood, and then not even cut-to-size wood with delivery, as a gift fell from the sky.

To make sure that at the time of receiving the wood I only had to perforate the holes and put it together, I checked the calculations several times before submitting via the website. The thought behind this was mainly that I did not have to camp in the house with many planks for days.

The entire project took about 1.5 days from receipt of the wood and the materials ordered. Tip: make a drawing with numbering or an alphabet and add these as characteristics during the order. I spent most of my time perforating the holes, because oh what a shame it would be if the wood split because of carelessness or wanting to work too quickly.

Still, the project did not go without a struggle. At the bottom left, from the floor, a capped water pipe protruded. Oops, overlooked! This meant that, despite the accurate calculations of the cabinet, we still had to look a bit out. Of course that is manageable, given that cutting the boards to size ourselves would have taken at least 1 day, after which the received wood should have remained somewhere in our small house until the weekend and we had to go through the dust for a weekend. .

Finally, I personally like this question very much; "So what have you learned from this?"

My answer:

Ordering wood through saves time, money, residual material and the hassle of heavy materials. From now on I will also check the entire space, including the floor, where the object will be placed.

And given that the service, even from the delivery person, went so well and my follow-up “project” is also on the fairly large side, it might be an option to try out their 'large projects' service. Perhaps I will care about the many perforations of the wood?

What are the measurements?

The dimensions are 2500x1270x300mm, completely tailor-made for the empty space in the corner.

Experience with

Good and fast service! It makes independent work a lot more attractive and saves a lot of time.

Even the delivery service was very pleasant. The young man himself noticed that there was damage to lacquer board. He informed me about it, took the initiative to take a picture of it himself, and recommended that he immediately report it in the portal indicating that he himself had the supporting evidence. Very refreshing such pro-activity! Now I must confess that I myself have not done anything with it anymore, because hey it was only lacquer board and luckily it was just in a place where it would not be visible.

I am very satisfied and I am already working on my next project for which I will again order my wood from!
