sOn an existing TV stand, Femke has created a compartmentalized cabinet herself. She ordered 16mm MDF cut to size and assembled it herself. The compartmentalized cabinet turned out excellently and complements the accessories well.

To add some depth to the living room, we created a compartmentalized cabinet on our existing TV stand. By painting it the same color as the wall and the furniture, it forms a unity, and especially the items in the cabinet stand out. Ordering all the cut wood online made the job easy for us.

How I made this project

Step 1) First, decide which items you want to put in the cabinet to determine the size.
Step 2) Determine the height and width in proportion to your cabinet. Tip: stick painter's tape on the wall and cabinet with those measurements to see if it suits.
Step 3) Then make several sketches with compartments and decide what to put where.
Step 4) Order the wood once the design is satisfactory. The top panel is mitered with side panels. Keep a few mm of clearance in height for tilting the cabinet and the fact that the ceiling is not straight.
Step 5) We countersunk all connections for screws and then filled them.
Step 6) Sand and paint.
Step 7) Done!
