Very easy

1 minuut

Pepijn's shed is all neat and organized again! He has made shelves out of Plywood. The shelves are well supported and are 30 mm thick, making it a sturdy whole. Pepijn chose poplar plywood: a strong type of wood! Poplar plywood is a soft wood type and is delivered untreated, so it's important to properly protect these panels. Pepijn took care of that by applying wood paint twice. Curious about his tips? Read on!

Shelves in the shed, by Pepijn

With 30mm plywood, a set of four shelves has been realized in the shed. Heavy-duty shelf brackets were used because heavy items will be placed on them.

How I made this project

Four 30mm thick untreated plywood boards arrived. The corners of all four boards were first cut off so that no one would bump their head upon entering the shed. After that, the sharp edges were sanded. Since the plywood was already quite smooth, it was lightly sanded again. After that, it was painted twice with white wood paint. Mounting them to the wall was done with heavy supports because a lot of weight will be placed on them.

Dimensions of my DIY project

4 boards of 36.0 cm deep and 200.0 cm wide
