Description by Michael

For our new kitchen, we built a 'walk-in closet'. By mounting 6 shelves all around, we managed to create extra cabinet space. The cabinet is closed off with a rustic wooden sliding door.

How I Made This Project

I measured the width of the walls and then had wooden planks cut to size. Since the colors gold and black are also present in our kitchen, I wanted black shelves. The wall is gold-colored, and I also bought black rails and brackets. Then I mounted the rails at approximately just under 50 centimeters apart, with brackets for 6 shelves at different heights. It turned out beautifully!

Dimensions of My DIY Project

  • The shelves on the left and right: 95.0 cm wide, 30.0 cm deep.
  • The shelves in the back: 113.5 cm wide, 50.0 cm deep.
