Davide ordered online cut birch plywood to create a custom enclosure for guitar amplifiers. The result is an amplifier with a truly unique appearance. Especially by using birch plywood, the wood grain stands out beautifully.

Description by Davide

I regularly build guitar cabinets, combos, or head shells made from birch plywood. Having them cut to size is super helpful and makes life easy.

How I made this project

I ordered 4 side panels (top and bottom) + 2 sides (front and back panel). I used a pin system similar to the one used in wooden furniture to stick panels together, along with wood glue. After rounding the wood on the edges and sanding it down for finishing, I covered it with Tolex vinyl and all related accessories such as Marshall Handle, front Grillcloth, and rubber feet. Lastly, the speaker is mounted and connected to the amp, which is screwed onto the rear top panel.
