Kef loudspeaker boxes (2 times) Constructor Series Model CS9 according to original KEF construction drawings. I built these boxes in 1992 from chipboard, now manufactured from 18 mm MDF .

Conversion for Kef loudspeaker boxes

I bought this KEF Constructor Series Model CS9 in 1992 as a construction kit. I was faced with the choice to buy new speakers of the same quality or upgrade this KEF kit, it has become an upgrade. The 18 mm MDF used is from a hard pressing much better than the chipboard from 1992. The panels supplied, cut at an angle of 45 degrees, fit perfectly. There is one adjustment in the implementation of the construction of these boxes. To upgrade the sound of this kit I replaced the capacitors of the exchange filter with better quality ones than the ones that were delivered in 1992 and placed an extra high-pitched tweeter. The result in processing of the delivered panels and sound is perfect. The next project (including loudspeaker boxes) is already ready.
