Each speaker is made up of 2 boxes: 1 first box for the Bass Speaker 1 second box for the Mid and Treble Speakers These are made of Midrange of different thicknesses ( 6, 10, 12, 18, 25 and 30 mm) The second box is currently being produced (see attached photos), the first will follow. The first step consisted, after choosing the speakers, of calculating the enclosure (volumes and dimensions, aesthetics) and creating plans for the 2 cabinets on the 3 axes (front, side, top and floor plans). cut). The second step consists of assembling and mounting the boxes. Note the various interior reinforcements aimed at minimizing the internal resonances of the boxes. The third concerns the finishing (painting and varnishing) Concerning active acoustic speakers, a compartment is provided at the rear of the lower cabinet to accommodate the electronic circuits (power supplies, filters and amplifiers). Given the scale of the project, carpentry and cabinetmaking and electronics, my objective is to finish these speakers around September 2024, or approximately 1 1/2 years after the start of the operation.

From the boards provided by TOSIZE.ie to the dimensions indicated on the plans, the machining required a minimum of tools (jigsaw, drill-screwdriver, router, electric planer, belt and eccentric sanders, etc.) The assembly and assembly of the different pieces of wood (110 in total for the 4 boxes) takes place ;carried out by gluing and screwing to guarantee maximum rigidity. Given the precision of the cutting of the medium parts carried out by TOSIZE.ie, this assembly is carried out without problem. (the dimensions are respected to less than 1 mm and the gaps were made up easily and quickly with sandpaper on a wooden block) Finish: the boxes will be painted with a RAL 9010 glycero lacquer (called 'Pure white' ; ) glossy finish (sanding-polishing-buffing) on ​​all sides, with the exception of the side sides which will be veneered (MDF Walnut veneered sliced ​​on 4 mm backing, laminated on the side sides in Medium). Finish: glossy varnish (polished-gloss) after filling the pores of the wood with pumice powder). Note that the cutting of the veneered pieces of wood provided by TOSIZE.ie presents absolutely no finishing defects, shine, etc.
