With the idea of ​​creating more storage space in his kitchen, Ahmet got to work. He decided to have 40mm pine timber panels cut to size. With this, he created practical and beautiful wall shelves.

We wanted space to store our coffee and kitchen appliances in a nice and fun way. So we decided to create a coffee corner next to our tall cabinets.

How I made this project

The 40mm Pine Timber Panels I used match the thickness of my kitchen table very nicely. This is also 40mm thick. Our kitchen table is dark in color. My first step was to treat the shelves with dark-colored stain. I used 1 layer of stain. Then I lacquered the shelves to make them scratch-resistant. I applied 2 layers of lacquer/varnish to the shelves. I used a simple brush for the stain and the lacquer. Then I mounted the shelves invisibly so that the brackets are not visible. I didn't have any drawings and it took me about a day in total, including drying time.
