I built nightstands for our bedroom using wood from TOSIZE.ie. The dimensions are 40.0 x 50.0 x 35.0 cm. There is a door at the bottom. The dimensions in our bedroom are not standard, so I had to do it myself. As you can see, we already have several pieces of furniture in this style. It should be a project that takes no more than 2 mornings. I easily succeeded in that. The goal was a nightstand with a false shelf and door.

How I did this project

I routed 3 grooves for flat dowels. In the body and the intermediate floor. Then I glued them to the body and let them dry for 24 hours. Then I machined the doors with a hole drilling machine. The doors are each held by two hinges. Finally, I finished the edges with the router. It is important that you strictly follow angles, so that the doors actually fit. With the help of clamps, this was easily possible. The time required for the work was approximately 2 hours.
