Ikea hack: Easily make a long sofa yourself

We made a long sofa with 2 spruce panels (height: 40 mm) and 7 kitchen cabinets (Metod) from Ikea. This is now in our dining room.

Work description: how did you realize your project

We have installed 7 small, white kitchen cabinets (with doors) from IKEA. The boxes were screwed together. The two spruce panels were sanded first and then painted with colorless interior stain. The spruce panels were then glued to the IKEA cabinets. After 24 hours we have made the bench to the right level. It took us two days to complete this project, and now we have a lovely family sofa in our dining room.
