Doris made a white open shoe cabinet herself from TOSIZE.ie cut sheet material. By having us cut the sheet material, he was able to create his ideal shoe cabinet for the hallway in his apartment while preventing a lot of dirt from getting in. Description

There should be an open shoe cupboard in the entrance area where you could quickly put your shoes down so as not to carry dirt into the apartment. The closet should also have a hanging device for better ventilation of the shoes. Since drinks are placed on the top shelf, the cabinet had to be very stable - so you had to build it yourself!

Job description: How did you realize your project?

First of all, I found out on TOSIZE.ie which material is best suited for foiling. After choosing the material, MDF primer sheet 18mm, I calculated the dimensions needed and placed the order, which arrived within a week. Since everything was cut to size, I was able to start drilling straight away.

First I drilled the sloping side walls and fitted them with furniture connectors.
Then I drilled the bottom plate and the top plate and added eccentrics.
After I had also drilled and dowelled the sloping side walls, I put the cabinet together and screwed on the back wall, which is only 12 mm thick.
After assembly, I have the hanging device for the shoes installed in the upper part. The hanging device was also the reason for building the shoe cabinet at an angle, i.e. H. Narrower at the top (27 cm) than at the bottom (35 cm) because the shoes can then be loaded more easily.
Finally, I lined the cupboard (unfortunately only partially so far, as there are delivery problems with the foil) with a silver foil that matches the color of the rest of the furnishings, and I trimmed the edges and put felt gliders on it Floor attached.

As soon as the rest of the foil arrives, the shelves will also be foiled, but since that can take a while and the cabinet is already ready for use, I declare my project finished.
