In this DIY project, Gael demonstrates how he made a custom wardrobe using the online cutting service. He chose to use pre-primed poplar plywood, a lightweight yet sturdy material. With the primer layer, it's also easy and quick to paint by himself. Gael measured all the panels himself and entered them into the online ordering configurator. After a few days, he was ready to work with the custom-cut panels.

Description by Gael

A wardrobe, with a part under a sloping roof. 2 different depths to maximize space utilization. Clothing racks were also installed, and extra storage space was provided.

How I made this project

I used 18 mm boards. I fixed the boards with screws, which is the tricky part because everything needs to be level. I divided the entire furniture into 4 sub-units. I started with the unit under the sloping roof, which I divided into 2 parts: a four-corner and a three-corner on top. Then I divided the longer and deeper cabinet into 2 sub-cabinets for more stability. After that, I installed the sliding doors. Not easy but doable.

Dimensions of my DIY project
