Description by Jacob
Beautiful planks cut to size. This made the installation quite easy. I only had to saw the crooked sides and the straight planks could even be mounted in one go. I chose to mount it by attaching mounting glue to the top and 6-7 screws to the front of the step. Primed the end edges twice, then sealed everything. the painter may finish the stairs nicely in due course. All in all a nice project.
How I made this project
By ordering the planks to size. I sawed miters at home in my shed, then measured the step and sawed the other miter. Planks are pre-drilled one by one and then galvanized with a drill. I glued the tops with mounting kit and the fronts were screwed with screws that I also ordered online. Screw holes are filled with light weight filler and then sanded well, just like the end edges of the wood. Seams sealed with the same mounting kit. This can be painted over, so it works great.
