New bookshelves from essenhout in the living room with the intention of replacing the old chipboard ones with a melamine coating. Replaced a total of 7 boards.

Wall shelves made of solid ash

In our room we had bookshelves hanging from melamine faced chipboard (18mm thick) with “ash” print. We were tired of that, so we decided to replace them with real ash 26 mm thick. Before that, the wall had to be painted in a shade of gray with a hint of red in it. The rails and carriers were given the same color as the wall. Then in the garage (workshop) the edges of the planks were slightly rounded and all sides sanded. Then all sides were treated 3 times with water-based transparent matte lacquer from Ceta Bever. Use a roller for this. I did that in two sessions, because there was hardly room to dry all the treated planks at the same time. Sanded between coats (the first time quite vigorously to remove all raised “hairs”). Finally put all the planks in place. We think the room has been renovated quite a bit. There is also a plastic box. We think that one day we can do that in essen. The costs are still keeping that plan in the fridge at the moment
