Homemade MDF fronts for the kitchen, by Anne

Anne has upgraded her kitchen with the help of cut MDF. She replaced the fronts and painted them in a matching color. The fronts are equipped with handles and hinges. A fun DIY project with a beautiful result!

The kitchen needed an upgrade. With the cut sheet material from TOSIZE.ie, I replaced the front of all kitchen cabinets. Additionally, I added handles to them.

How I Made This Project

First, I measured the old kitchen and ordered exactly these dimensions on the website. I painted the sheets the same color as the inside of the current kitchen cabinets. I mounted new handles on the wooden sheets and then attached them to the existing kitchen blocks. Each sheet has 3 hinges for smooth movement. The sheets also have dampers to prevent them from slamming shut. A final transparent layer of lacquer ensured a neat effect and made the cabinets splash-friendly.
