In many houses, there is often a nice space under the stairs to store items. However, there are usually no standard cabinets available for this purpose. In this project, Tom demonstrates how he cleverly created additional storage space under the stairs. By ordering the cut material online, it was also a relatively straightforward project.

Description by Tom

I've made a cabinet for extra storage (pantry) in the stair cupboard, so we can store more items and better utilize the space under the stairs.

How I made this project

First, I carefully measured the situation and then ordered all the shelves online. Upon arrival, I could immediately start assembling the cabinet. The cabinet consists of two parts, the bottom which is deeper (65cm) and the top which is less deep (30cm). This way, I better utilize the unused space under the stairs. The top part is simply placed on the bottom part and securely screwed with steel corner profiles. I installed two shelves in the top part. In the bottom part, one shelf can be placed. I closed off the back with thin panels.
