In this project, Philippe shows how he himself installed a magnificent bar in his kitchen. It's a simple job, and with the MDF cut to size, including rounded corners, it was done in no time! Read below how Philippe made the bar.
Description of Philippe
Hello, You will find in P-J the photos of my bar project that I have just installed between the kitchen and the living room. I ordered from TOSIZE.ie a primed 30mm MDF board with two rounded corners and top and bottom rounds. The production of the panel is perfect and it adapts to the millimeter to its location. I still have to hide the screws before painting the upper side. I'm thinking of leaving the wooden hallway section and varnishing it. This will make a nice color reminder that will harmonize with the fixing brackets and the worktop.
How I carried out this project
The installation of the bar was was very easy. I first purchased three beech wood brackets (300 x 200), some dowels and screws. For installation I only had to use a drill, a spirit level, a hammer and a screwdriver. To make it easier, we did the installation with two people, but it could have been done by one person. In any case it was a simple job that everyone could do. The installation took us less than two hours without rushing and including the time to clean and put away the tools.
