Description
After a request from a customer to reduce noise from the home workplace in the attic, I closed the open staircase, among other things. For this, beech panels from TOSIZE.co.uk used and finished with oil to mimic the color of the painted stairs
DIY with solid Beech
At TOSIZE.co.uk I had the risers cut approximately to size, a few cm too large all around. After this, measured both corners per step (was not square) and sawed at the right angle. When it fitted I cut the step on the table saw to the correct size and milled a bevel on the bottom for a nice finish. For confirmation I shot the riser in the bottom step and attached it to the top step by means of a domino cutter. Before securing, of course, the riser has to be colored with oil
The dimensions of the panels
80,0x17,0cm for the risers
