In this DIY project, Marijn shows how he made a TV cabinet himself, from custom-sawn pine lumber panel. By using our sawing service, he could get straight to work when all the panels were delivered to size. The furniture also serves as a bench and reading nook for the children. How handy is that? Read below how Marijn tackled this project.

Description by Marijn

It is a piece of furniture for under the TV that we also use to sit on when we have lots of guests. In the corner, adding the three cushions created a nice corner for the children. The wood from the fireplace matches it very nicely and finishes it off sleekly. The six wicker baskets include rugs, equipment for the television and internet and some more loose items.

How I made this project

After measuring everything, I ordered the different pieces of pine furniture panel via TOSIZE.ie. After they arrived, I put everything together without glue and screws to see if everything fitted properly. Fortunately, that was the case and I could get to work. With wood glue and glue clamps, I glued everything together. After it was dry, I was able to sand the furniture and then place it. It is fixed to the wall.
